The guitar is an informal and popular instrument. Learning to play the guitar helps with coordination. Our objectives include the musical development of our students, as well as the fun and enjoyment of making and sharing music.
Lessons take place in a fun, informal group (3 to 5 learners). You can learn the basics and play your favourite songs. Guitar lessons are popular because a wide repertoire of light and popular music is taught, from Kurt Darren to Elvis to Imagine Dragons.
Various techniques are covered, as well as basic music theory and aural training. We strongly recommend learners to take part in the Eisteddfod and our annual concerts. The teachers will guide learners ready to enter Trinity’s Pop and Rock exams.
Guitar Learners from Grade Two to Grade Seven can take the guitar as an instrument.
Lesson options: 25 minutes (once or twice a week)
Educators: Petra Steyn (Grade 2– 6)
Stanley Hill (Grade 7)
